Our “Shop” Page wasn’t working correctly, it was showing old and sold out product, so I deleted it.

Went into Woo Status area, to add the page back in (per Woo instructions) and it didn’t load the Shop page again.

Is there a way to get this “Shop” page back because it is the page that people resolve to when leaving the cart.

    Thanks for any info.

PS – The odd content that was showing on the shop page is now showing on the bottom of our index page under the Instagram section.

    Hello,

Try to restore the page in Woocommerce > Status > Tools > Create default WooCommerce pages – Note: This tool will install all the missing WooCommerce pages. Pages already defined and set up will not be replaced. https://gyazo.com/d431a94d4d9e8da3cc59ad9d539bfd31

I said I had already done that, and it didn’t work, which is why I was writing you.

    Hello,

You will have to reinstall Woocommerce. Our theme does not have any options to restore the Woocommerce functionality.

    Hello again –

I can try to load Woo Commerce again, but there is a weird issue going on with the theme, as well.

If you look at our landing page, and scroll down, the last thing on our Index page is the Woodmart IG banner. That should be the last thing showing before the footer.

Now, there are odd products showing there…some are sold out, some are older products…this is what our “Shop” page WAS showing, before I deleted it. The Shop page wasn’t working correctly in the first place, since it should have been showing our most current items first.

How can we get rid of these extra products that are showing, below the IG banner? We’ve looked at the code and can’t find the items because they are somehow being pulled dynamically with the php. They also are not on our “Home” page, that we created.

So, how do we keep those products from showing on the Home page? That IS a theme problem.

    Thanks.

It seems that it is pulling and showing our shop items “alphabetically” which shouldn’t be happening at all, much less on the front page.

I manually added a shop page and that seems to have fixed the problem of the odd products showing on the front page.

For the Shop Page – Is there a way to have the default sort be for “Most Recent” products, rather than alphabetial? I don’t see a setting for this anywhere, but one of my websites does show most recent products first and not alphabetical first.

    Hello,

You can show the most recent by default. It is configured in Appearance > Customize > Woocommerce > Product Catalog >

    Thanks Elise.

    That worked perfectly.

I am never on those pages, so I had no idea where to change the sort.

    Thanks again.
