hi there product categories like on your home page doesnt work, it doesnt display the categories i want.

I select specific categories, however these aretn displayed. if i leave empty it shows randomly categories

Hello,

First of all thanks for choosing our Theme, we are glad to be you in WoodMart WordPress family :-).

You want to display the selected categories with “Product Category” theme element. After selecting specific categories you need to make sure that you save the changes and update the page.

In case if it still not work after doing this then share your admin login credentials so I will check and display some selective categories as an example for you.

Come on saving and refreshing page, deleting cache. it’s all done. these are basic things. I showed you on the printscreen what i did. Offcourse i have saved en refreshed. I explained also that if not selected it chooses randomly categories. I have a lot of categories, the ones i want to show i have uploaded images. The specific categories i want to display are not displaying. The whole element is disappearing.

Hello,

Please provide the site admin access to the private area as well as the page URL with the problem. I am checking the home page of the site you have provided and categories look the same as on our demo. Have you solved the issue?

No sorry it’s not working, i think you see the wrong one.

I made a printscreen and attached this, here you can see the product categorie element.
I deleted all the selected catgories, then it’s showing aas in the printscreen. (now also visible on the website)

You can also see on the printscreen the menu above, marked “red” these are main categories. This i want to display.

But it is not working.

List of categories i want:

– Zitmeubelen
– Tafels
– Kasten
– Verlichting
– Woonaccessoires

Actually it doesnt matter what category i write here, when i select one it has to appear. However i would be glad if this is solved and i would like to know what caused the problem.

Cause some categories i can select and some not. I created also test, test2, test3 etc categories, but also these are not showing.

Hello,

Your problem is resolved. I just created a new page just to set an example for you. This page displays all those categories which you want to display:

I just disable the “hide empty” categories option inside the product categories element settings. It seems due to cache or due to some third party plugin the element did not detect that those categories also have products. That’s why it includes those categories as empty. But now it is shown perfectly fine you can check the below page:

Great job guys, it seems to work. Although i have 1 question remaning. i attached this. in the wishlist page left side te menu “my account” i cant translate.

I translated all the other, with loco translate. is this hard coded?

Most Welcome,

To translate the “my account” word you need to go to Loco Translate >> Themes >> WoodMart >> Search for a specific word and translate it.

Also if this does not work then you can synchronized the translation for the latest language file of theme from Loco Translate

Hello,

No, the “My Account” is not hardcoded. It is translatable.
Kindly share login credentials of your site. So I can access your admin panel and help you out to translate the “My Account” from sidebar.

Hello,

Your problem is resolved. Actually that “My Account” shown in your sidebar is the page title. So we did not have to translate it via Loco Translate plugin. We just have to change the page title of my account page.
