Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Yoast SEO plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/ configure the showing your site in the search engines. Our theme does not influence this. When we try to search your site now we do not see the problem.
Best Regards

insolitbeautyParticipantYou’re right, Google has now tracked YoastSeo data (for certain pages), but the problem is still there. I pass you some images for you to see. In “visual mode”, shortcodes should not appear on many pages.

insolitbeautyParticipantIf not for Yoast Seo, Google indexes the “literal” content of the web. [vc_row] [vc_column] [woodmart_title size = “extra-large” font_weight = “600” ……. for example.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Please make the full backup of your site as well as the Theme settings export and check the issue on the Storefront theme to detect if our theme causes the problem. Storefront is a free theme developed by Woocommerce.
Best Regards

insolitbeautyParticipantHi Elise,
I have installed the page on localhost and changed the theme. The problem is still there but I can’t find the reason. I have deleted all plungins except WPBakery Page Builder.
The code appears broken when you see the page in the editor “Classic mode” and this is what Google is indexing. Although it is not a direct problem of the theme as it is an included plungin (WPBakery), could you please look at it to see what can fail?
It’s messing up all my SEO positioning
Thank you very muchJuly 15, 2020 at 7:17 am #211034
insolitbeautyParticipantCould it have been a problem with shortcodes when using the Frontend editor?

insolitbeautyParticipantDear Elise,
I have continued testing. I have installed WordPress, Woodmark theme and WPBakery from scratch, without anything else. I have created a clean page and added a single “social bottons” element.
You can see in the images that although visually it is OK in the “visual editor” it still shows the Shortcodes and this is a problem because for Google it is plain text that it indexes. I can’t find a solution, can you help me?Attachments:

Artem TemosKeymasterMaybe Google indexed some of your pages when the WPBakery page builder was disabled and you had plain shortcodes displayed. Currently, we don’t see this problem in search results. https://prnt.sc/ti9lzl
Probably, you need to wait while Google reindexes all broken pages.July 15, 2020 at 2:36 pm #211303
insolitbeautyParticipantSo, is it normal to see the shortcodes in “visual mode” as in the image that I attach? I thought the Shorcodes shouldn’t be seen there.

Artem TemosKeymasterOf course, but you will never see these shortcodes on your website and Google bot will not see it either. It may happen only when you disable the WPBakery page builder.
