arminovicParticipantHi all,
wanted to ask how I can change the text of the “sold out” label, which has been implemented through woocommerce I think. The label is being displayed on product page and shop page (out of stock).
Can’t find the path where I can replace the text.
Thank you so much in advance.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You can translate/rewrite all theme and plugin texts via PO file in WordPress. Here is a video tutorial that should help you translate your website texts with a Loco Translate plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3NsDdMzsls&list=PLMw6W4rAaOgKKv0oexGHzpWBg1imvrval&index=3
Please check the video tutorial to see how to save the translation file correctly. You can remove the plugin and translations would remain. Also, translations would remain after each theme update.
Best Regards

postbox-007ParticipantHello.
I did it exactly as described here and shown in the video. But unfortunately the text does not change.
I have deleted the cache in the browser and the cache in WordPress (via WP-Rocket). What could be the reason?

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
You cannot use 2 translation plugins at the same time, so please disable the Polylang plugin, clear the cache and recheck the “Sold out” label.
Kind Regards

postbox-007ParticipantAh, ok.
But with Polylang I will translate my whole site later. (pages, products etc …)
I can’t do that with Loco, can I?
Or asked the other way around. Is it possible to do all this with PolyLang?
December 6, 2023 at 3:29 pm #519082
Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
It should be possible via Polylang as well, so try to translate it via Polylang using the below documentation:
https://polylang.pro/doc/strings-translation/
https://polylang.pro/doc/translating-woocommerce-urls-and-strings/
Don’t hesitate to let me know if you need any further help or any other info.
Kind Regards

postbox-007ParticipantThank you. But it looks like it won’t work. I can translate the content (e.g. notification texts, e-mail templates, etc …). But I can’t translate something like the “Sold” label or other integrative things with Polylang.
Is it possible to get to the “Sold” in a different way and enter a different word? Perhaps in the files via the theme editor?

postbox-007ParticipantHello.
Is this topic still being maintained or should I open a new one? I am asking because of the specially created secondary access.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Sorry, I just checked on my side on how to adjust it. Sorry for the mistake, Polylang works well with the Loco Translate.
1. So first of all, you need to make a translation of the product for both languages: https://take.ms/5AN5w , then navigate to Loco Translate -> Themes -> WoodMart and create both languages there: https://take.ms/BI8uV.
2. Translate the “Sold Out” label for each language: https://take.ms/2w4QZ , https://take.ms/dstfW
3. As a result, each language will have a different title for the label: https://take.ms/pkUna
Let me know if you have any questions.
Kind Regards

postbox-007ParticipantHello.
Unfortunately I can’t make it. I have now also bought the WPML to translate the rest of my website.
Do I still need the Loco, can I also do the renames completely with WPML?
I have done the steps like the screenshots above. However, it still shows “Sold Out” on the image label instead of “Verkauft”. Cache is cleared after the translation.

postbox-007ParticipantI would like to submit a message.
After testing some WPML, I’m back to PolyLang. This is currently the cheaper solution for my needs.I have reinstalled PolyLang and Loco as well. Now I have tried it again with the instructions – now it works. I can’t say what I did wrong before. But now everything is ok.
Thanks for the help ! 🙂
