    Hi there!

I’m working with the Woodmart theme for a client. In general, it works perfectly, but I’m having one issue:

Due to the nature of my client’s business, the order of products is very important, so the order needs to be fully customizable, both in the general store and in the categories. I was able to resolve this perfectly with several plugins:

    Real Custom Post Order
    Simple Custom Post Order
    Post Type Order
    Etc.
However, the only plugin I found that takes the “brand” attribute terms of the products was “Reorder Posts” with the “Reorder by Term” addon… but it didn’t work.

With the other plugins mentioned above, I was able to resolve almost everything except for the order of the products on their brand page. (example of a brand page: https://woodmart.xtemos.com/shop/demo/marketplace/?filter_brand=alessi&demo=marketplace)

The theme comes with an Elementor widget that can display the brands. So far, so good… the issue is that each brand’s link is the result of a search, and in that case, it should order the results as they would appear in the search. And the order will be different for each brand, resulting in a different ordering for the results of each search.

I understand that it would be easier to create a “brand” category and have each brand be a subcategory. The issue here is that the Elementor widget to display the brands wouldn’t work for me… Is there any way to resolve this?

    Hello,

Sorry to say but Brands under the Theme are not a separate feature.

They are added through the default WooCommerce Attributes feature, the link that you have shared is the Shop page URL with the Brand Attribute Filter selected.

So, if the Custom Ordering works with the other Attributes then it should work with the Brand Attribute too.
So, you might want to check this concern once with the default WordPress theme like Storefront and Twenty Twenty Three too to get a better idea.

    Best Regards.

Thanks for the reply. Finally I was able to solve it in the following way. In the product admin I added the “brands” field to be able to filter by brand by modifying functions.php. Then add a “Custom Post Order” type plugin and it worked
