jackennilsParticipantHello there,
I’ve tried to implement Fancy Product Designer and I have stumbled upon some issue with Woodmart. It is definitely related to Woodmart, as I have also tested without other plugins and with the standard theme Storefront. And it works with all plugins enabled in combination with Storefront, but not with Woodmart.
Also the exact same problem was already posted here:
https://xtemos.com/forums/topic/thumbnail-on-cart-page-problems/
However, this user switched to another designer plugin, so there was never a solution to this issue. But please, help me find one, it’s the same issue. The Fancy Product Designer (FPD) lets you design custom products. Once you have created your design, you can save it. Then the plugin replaces the first image of the product gallery with the customised product. This part works fine.
Original product looks:
https://i.imgur.com/JouDdHY.pngAfter designing a product:
https://i.imgur.com/EZE52KQ.pngBut when you add the customised product to the cart and go to the cart page or to the checkout page, it does show the default product image again, not the customised image anymore.
After add to cart via AJAX (still showing up in sidebar):

https://i.imgur.com/5k3Yp8e.pngCheckout page (same thing):
https://i.imgur.com/v4rbeic.pngAlso, on the cart page there should be a link below the product name which says “click here to re-edit”, which leads back to the product page, but this link is also missing.
Should be:
https://i.imgur.com/jffgaPj.pngActually is missing:
https://i.imgur.com/4KfZtAx.pngAgain, everything shows up correctly on Storefront. Can please someone help with this? On the FPD website you can create a demo store which gives access to the plugin and the backend part of it. Feel free to test it: https://demo.fancyproductdesigner.com/
Please help with this. Woodmart is the best theme around and FPD the best product designer. I’m sure a 100% compatiblity would be a huge benefit for all of us.
Thanks
MarcoPS: Please can you get Artem to have a look at this? I’m sure he’s interested in this issue.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Could you please try to disable AJAX add to cart option in Theme Settings -> Single product -> Add to cart and see how it works?
Also, send us your admin access so we can check why the “edit link” is missing on the cart page.Kind Regards

jackennilsParticipantHello Artem,
Thank you for coming back to me so fast, much appreciated. ๐
I did try to disable AJAX add to cart, which is not making any difference unfortunately. However, I have just found out something interesting:
When I disable Lazy Loading for Images in the Performance tab of the settings, it shows the custom product image continuously. So it works with these settings:
https://i.imgur.com/4U7XLDr.pngBut only in the sidebar cart and on the cart page:
https://i.imgur.com/vjFCHlb.png
https://i.imgur.com/CdzRJbD.pngOn the checkout page, the image is not loading at all:
https://i.imgur.com/LeWSFqb.pngAnd the โedit linkโ is still missing.
I’ve added login info in the private area. Plese see my comments there.
Thanks

Artem TemosKeymasterYes, we see that it conflicts with our lazy loading option because both the plugin and our theme overrides the image’s
src
attribute. We recommend you disable the lazy loading option on the cart and checkout page. You can create our Theme Settings preset to achieve this https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/theme-settings-presets/April 10, 2023 at 4:54 pm #458730
jackennilsParticipantThank you for checking.
I’ve played around with the presets and while it works well with the cart page, it does not work with the checkout page, which is kind of strange. Also it does not work with the cart sidebar which is present on every page of the shop.
Also, any chance to get the “edit link” working on the cart page?
Another issue:
I have disabled the product image on the checkout page, and they still show up:

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
We don’t see the edit button on the cart page on other themes as well https://gyazo.com/3e544ada404a386afc4ed8b7d2f4a1e2
As for the checkout image, it comes with some of the installed plugins and not with the theme. You can test it with a default theme too.Kind Regards

jackennilsParticipantThank you Artmen, I’ll have a look into it.

jackennilsParticipantJust to give you an update. The issues with the checkout page are related to the Germanized Plugin which your theme claims to be compatible with on the Themeforest selling page. ๐
Maybe there have been some changes in the past which are now causing conflicts. Would be great if you could investigate. No setting on the checkout page has any impact as long as Germanized is active (no matter which settings you choose in Germanized).

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Could you please check how it works with some default WordPress themes like TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront to understand is it our theme issue or not?
Regards
April 12, 2023 at 7:10 pm #459273
jackennilsParticipantJust tested it with Storefront:
The image of the customized product is not shown on the checkout page as well. But I guess this is simply due to the fact that the Fancy Product Designer plugin was not build with the option of Germanized in mind. For the general problem:
I cannot test the features of WoodMart’s settings page for the checkout page, as these options are not available for Storefront. But when deactivating Germanized it works.I’m talking about these options:
https://i.imgur.com/X9EZTGA.pngNone of them work as long as Germanized is active. So this is a completely separat issue and has nothing to do with Fancy Product Designer.
April 13, 2023 at 9:28 am #459341
Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Germanized has its own options on the checkout page. That is why when you use this plugin we suppose that you need all features provided by the plugin.
Kind Regards
April 13, 2023 at 9:53 pm #459513
jackennilsParticipantOkay, understood. ๐
Thanks!
