Edit SEO meta tags title and description for “Layouts” pages

    I created a custom layout for the category page for a certain category, please see link attached.
    I installed Yoast SEO.

    My problem:
    Editing the SEO settings for title and description for my category page is not possible, the Yoast box does not show up when I try to edit the layout page. The Yoast box only shows up when I try to edit a regular WordPress page.

    Goal:
    I want to be able to customize the meta tags title and description for each category layout page I have.

    How do I achieve this?

    Hello,

    You can’t specify meta tags for layouts. But you should be able to do this for particular categories for example, As you usually do without layouts.
