Don´t understand the settings for Thumbnails (Single Prduct)

What I plan to do:
I upload up to 8 images per product. In order to see as many as possible as thumbnails under the main image, I would like the thumbnails to be 60 px wide.
This is what I have done in the theme settings. Unfortunately, the thumbnails are displayed at a width of 111 px.
What could be the reason for this?

The “Thumbnails image width” option reduces the width of the thumbnail. You need to regenerate thumbnails after applying that option with the help of the mentioned plugin in the description of the “Thumbnails image width” option.

The product above is newly added. The setting was already there.
Shouldn’t it then automatically be displayed correctly for this new product?

For now, it has such work, sorry. Therefore to apply the changes from the “Thumbnails image width” option, you should regenerate all thumbnails via the plugin.

I have used the plugin now. But unfortunately, nothing changes.
The thumbnails under the large product image are still displayed in 111×111 px.
Set, see above, are thumbnails in 60px.
Ok. I have seen something else The thumbnails are set correctly to 60×60, but are displayed scaled up to 111×111. Of course, this also looks unattractive and pixelated.
Probably to ensure the setting of 6 thumbnails per slide on desktop?
Idea A)
Would it be possible to increase the number of 6
OR
add the thumbnails in two rows. So no carousel, but two rows if there are more than the 6 thumbnails.
Idea B)
Keeping the thumbnail size setting and not scaling it up?

Sorry to say but right now there is no option in Theme Settings available for that. It requires Customization and this is beyond our limitations and support policy scope. Hope you can understand our limitations.
