Original image is loaded and rendered instead of a scaled image
-
During a webpage test I saw that the preview images in the catalog are rendered from the original file?
Shouldn’t scaled images actually be available and then loaded? In the screenshot my settings.
I use 4 columns at 1440 px total width. So: 1440 / 4 = 360.

Hello,
Could you please check how it works with some default WordPress themes like TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront to understand is it our theme issue or not?
Regards
I have switched to Twenty Twenty-Four. There the catalog looks like in the screenshot. It says image size 1300×1300 and rendered to 413.
If I go back to Woodmart, it says image size 1300x1300px and rendered to 338px.
Do I have a comprehension problem? Am I understanding this correctly or am I making a mistake? On the server there are images scaled by EWWW in the size 360px. Shouldn’t this image be used and rendered if necessary?

I have found the problem. It was caused by the settings.
I had loaded a template in the Template Builder. There it was set that the images are loaded “Full”. I did not pay attention to this when using the template.
After changes, the 1300px images are no longer loaded and rendered, but the 360px images.
So the problem is solved 🙂
Great, we are glad that you sorted it out! Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
