Remove the sidebar on the page

Hello,
a simple question.
In the page settings I indicated the width of the sidebar, because I want a narrower layout, then I indicated “none”, because I don’t want any sidebar in there.
Instead it continues to be there. What am I doing wrong?
How do I leave the division but without the sidebar contents?

Without turns off the side space completely.
instead I want the empty space to remain, but without the content.
