attributes not showing in filter widget

I have created 2 attributes for my products.
One is colours, with 4 different options.
The second is “unique features” which has three different options.
Setting up my product browsing page, I want to use these as the filters
I have successfully added both of them to the sidebar. All colour options are showing, however only 2 or the 3 “unique feature” attribute options are showing. The “matching items” attribute is not showing.
How to I sort this?

Hello,
Make sure that the “matching items” attribute is assigned to some products because the unassigned attributes cannot be shown in the filtes area.
