nickpostmaParticipantHi, I’m working on a new project and use the following stack:
WordPress / Elementor / Woodmart theme / WooCommerceHosted here temporarily: http://www.urnworld.com.au/dev/
All works well, except I’m having some performance issues.
To be more specific, the issue is on first time load.
It takes around 15 seconds for the server to provide the TTFB.
Maybe not now, as I just loaded the page earlier.Once loaded once, it will be fine on any device, for the next few hours.
I’ve already looked into the following:
– Query Manager (may need to do some more digging, but didn’t see anything major)
– Setting up a CDN
– Setting up Litespeed Cache / WP Rocket
– Disabling plugins
– Enabled Memcached / Redis
– Set up a Cronjob with WGET
– Scheduling a headless Chrome task on my machine every 5 mins
– Checked Google Page Speed / GTMatrix (reports mostly front-end things)
– Increase memory/CPU on my hosting planHowever, none of these changed anything…every x hours, it just needs around 15 seconds to load.
Then fine again for a while.
I’ve enabled the server timing in WordPress and can see that the issue is usually the wp-before-template tasks if I look at my network tab -> doc (page) -> timing tabI’ve also set up another server with 12GB RAM and 400% CPU (shared though) and got the same, as well as running this on localhost…hence I feel it may not be the server itself that’s causing the issue.
Whilst raising this issue, I’ve just set up another instance without Elementor, WooCommerce and with twenty-four theme, see how that goes. If that also is having issues, we can rule out the theme + Elementor + WooCommerce.
It may or may not be theme related perhaps, but kind of desperate here to get this resolved so I can go live.So any help is welcome, hoping that I’m not the first one with this issue.

nickpostmaParticipantJust to add to this, for anyone else reading this.
What fixed it was installing a plugin called Accelerator.I have spent weeks on figuring out this issue
– Upgraded my hosting plan
– Tried different speed/cache plugins
– Used Google PageSpeed to tweak my pagesI also kept having around a 3-8 sec page load after a few days of not opening them.
However, as soon as I installed that plugin (and I just stumbled on it on YouTube, not affiliated), my score is now 97 and the issues have disappeared. If you have any speed issues, download the free version, make sure you follow the instructions and try it out.
