JeanneMeierParticipantI changed the product settings to show product variations underneath the main product image. When someone clicks the variation the picture shows up. From there they click the shopping cart icon to complete customization of the product.
My questions are:
– Is there a way to set it so when they click the cart button to add their customization, the item they selected is still selected? For example, in the attached screenshot, the snow globe is chosen for the “Clean office female” (first listing on the left). When you click the cart button from here it takes you to the product page, but the snow globe option is not selected. Is there a way to make that be selected?
-How can I change the little shopping cart icon? I am not sure what type of image I’d put there, but I know my customers and I am not confident they’ll ‘get it’.
Thank you!

JeanneMeierParticipantI am attaching a video.
The product options are in little circles under the picture (it is basically that picture on whatever product). When a product is selected, and then they click to add the personalization options they have to re-select the item from the drop down list.
This doesn’t seem like it should be a big deal, but you’ll see in the video, it even took me a minute to find that item in the drop down list.
I’m just hoping there’s a way to make whatever item they choose carry over to the next page.

JeanneMeier. Reason: I tried to resize video for size and it reduced it to a screenshot, remade shorter video

Hung PhamKeymasterHi JeanneMeier,
Thanks for video.
The issue looks like same to question you asked here https://xtemos.com/forums/topic/is-it-possible-for-a-customized-item-added-to-the-shopping-cart-to-be-edited/#post-582817
Please check my answer.

JeanneMeierParticipantNo, it isn’t the same thing that I was asking, but I suppose it may be along the same lines.
When someone goes to a category page and they decide on the picture they want, they can click the little circles underneath the image to see what the picture looks like in each product. Let’s say they click on the memo pad holder. When they click the cart icon to customize that item they are taken to the product page. When that page opens the product selector is not selected for the memo pad holder, it is reset to the “product selection”. They then have to find the memo pad holder in the drop down list and re-select it.
I am trying to find out if there is a setting that I have missed or a change I can make so the site ‘remembers’ that they picked product X from the category page to the product page.
Hope this clears it up better.
I can make a different video to show you if you need me to. I probably shouldn’t have done the same set of pictures in each. 🙂

Hung PhamKeymasterHi JeanneMeier,
Thanks for details.
I kindly recommend you to test the functionality with default WordPress themes such as TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront to see how it works.
