munazza.kanwal14ParticipantHi Support Team,
We are currently facing an issue with indexing our webpages in Search Console. After investigating, we discovered that the rel value in your theme is set to “nofollow,” which is causing the URLs not to be indexed in Search Console. I have attached a screenshot for your reference, along with the website URL.
Please look into this matter, as the issue has persisted for a month and we are unable to resolve it. Since this is related to the theme, we would appreciate your guidance on how to fix it.
Looking forward to your response.
Thank you.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Sorry, but the “nofollow” attributes are important for that button (Quick view) and we cannot remove them as then such validators as Insights will show an error related to removed “nofollow” attributes.
As for the “Read More”, check how it works on the default WooCommerce Storefront theme as this button comes from WooCommerce.
Kind Regards

munazza.kanwal14ParticipantHi,
Thank you for your reply. Could you please explain how we can index our pages on Google Search Console? We are not receiving organic traffic. Is there another possible solution? Should the pages still be indexed even if they have nofollow links? It’s been around 1.5 months, and the pages are still not being indexed by Google. How can we attract customers in this situation? we have completed our website and due to this issue we can not improve organically our website, the theme is very expensive please guide me some other way to solve this problem.
waiting to get the reply soon

munazza.kanwal14ParticipantHi,
yes I have already connected the site to Google Search Console a month ago. and tried many times to index the pages but google are not indexing the pages, then we checked and found this nofollow in code and come to you to solve this issue.
please suggest some solutionsOctober 23, 2024 at 3:32 pm #607116
Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
The “nofollow” should not affect such indexing, despite the fact that the “noffollow” for the “Read more” button persists on the default theme so this cannot cause that issue.
Check the tips in the article below:
