    I want to increase the footer width – cover till the recent post.
    I want to hide the recent post.

    I am attaching the image for reference.

    Hello,

    Login to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > there you can find Footer related columns to remove widgets in them. Then Navigate to Theme Settings > Footer > Choose your footer layout. Depending on the number of the columns you will have a different number of widget areas for the footer in Appearance->Widgets.
