Woodmart creates random thumbnails that can’t be disabled
-
Hi guys,
I have noticed that Woodmart creates thumbnails that can’t be disabled. Here is an example:
Screenshots attached.
As you can see, from the example, there’s a thumbnail called “45” and its dimensions are 45 x 45 px
Can you please let me know how I can delete these thumbnails from the system? Actually, I want to disable these thumbnails in further installations.
Thank you in advance!

Hello,
These thumbnails most likely to be created by Elementor if you specified this size somewhere on your website. Try to run “Regenerate thumbnails” to clear unnecessary thumbnails https://wordpress.org/plugins/force-regenerate-thumbnails/
Kind Regards
I had Elementor before installing Woodmart and there wasn’t thumbnail with this size. You can reproduce this on a test website.
This image has a custom size in the menu 45×45 https://gyazo.com/cd1c34765a42b510202ec8eb644e08cc
That is why an extra thumbnail is generated.
OK, so these thumbnails are coming from the mega menu images. Is it possible to not generate thumbnails for them? The images are too small and they don’t need thumbnails.
Yes, you can edit this image in Elementor and switch from custom image to “Medium” or “Full”.
Kind Regards
Got it, thank you!
But shall I run regenerate thumbnails after that so I make sure the thumbnails will disappear?

Yes, you can try to run the process and see if it removes the thumbnails that are no longer in use.
