stuopinisParticipantHi,
I have a store with products that have lots of variations. If a product has lots of variations inside it, it takes very long to show product stock status in frontend (in stock, on backorder etc.). If a product has no variations or very little, it shows up quicker. It can sometimes take more than 30 seconds to show the stock status, even after the full page is fully loaded.
This creates confusion to our customers, as they order the products that are on backorder thinking that we have them in stock, as it doesn’t load the stock status quickly and allows them to buy.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Thank you so much for contacting our support center.
To better assist you, could you kindly test the functionality with default WordPress themes such as TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront? This will help us determine whether the issue stems from our theme or elsewhere.
Regards

stuopinisParticipantWith twenty twenty theme it loads instantly. I’ve tried changing the stock status widget in the elementor template to the original elementor widget, but it showed wrong stock status (in stock products that we don’t have etc.). So it is the theme or the widget itself, I guess.

Artem TemosKeymasterCould you please record a short video of how it works with the default WordPress theme and WoodMart so we can see the difference?

stuopinisParticipantAttaching the videos, you should see it more clearly. The stock status usually appears a bit faster once you fiddle with it, like changing the options, but on default theme it loads and shows instantly.

Artem TemosKeymasterHi,
Could you please reupload your video in a size smaller than 2MB? Or upload it to some cloud service like Dropbox or Google Drive.
Thank you in advance

stuopinisParticipantSorry, my bad 🙂 Uploaded the videos to google drive, you should be able to see it.
My programmer says it’s possibly the widget itself, as the sql responds rapidly. Maybe some lazy-load function or something.

Artem TemosKeymasterThank you for the video. We checked this page but don’t see any extra delays https://gyazo.com/1641e2a9edb3badd9c9f5fb142f485f1
It loads the variation data with AJAX quite fast. There are no 30s delays, as you mentioned.December 10, 2024 at 7:18 pm #621336
stuopinisParticipantWhat browser did you use? Somehow on firefox it loads quickest, on chrome a slight delay and on safari it’s insufferable. Also, please try mobile, especially safari.
Also, the problem is with the initial load (when you open the product), then after the first time the stock status appears, all other variations show up as well after you choose them.

Artem TemosKeymasterWe tested with different browsers but didn’t see the difference.
As for the initial load, could you please clarify what is wrong or send us a video of the problem?
