Query Regarding Theme Detection
-
Hello woodmart support,
I have recently whitelisted the feature image of my theme as well as the theme name under the theme settings > white label option. However, I noticed that the WPThemeDetector website is still able to detect that my site is using the WoodMart theme.
Could you kindly clarify the purpose of the “whitelist” feature in this context? Is it primarily intended for client-facing purposes, or does it serve any additional function? Also, I would appreciate any guidance on how to prevent theme detection tools like WPThemeDetector from identifying the theme being used on the site.
Your assistance in finding a solution to hide the theme from such detection tools would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Amit
Hello Amit,
Thank you for your question.
The white-label feature in our theme is primarily intended for client-facing purposes. It allows you to customize and hide certain theme details from clients who might access the WordPress dashboard.
However, it is not possible to fully hide the theme’s identity from automated detection tools like WPThemeDetector. These tools can identify themes by analyzing theme prefixes and other elements in the code, which cannot be completely removed.
If you have further questions, feel free to reach out!
Best regards.
This is a shame as we like to keep all the information available to our competitors to a minimum where possible

Yes, but Envato requires unique prefixes in the code and all themes from ThemeForest have them.
Would you recommend using this plugin to conceal my WordPress site? Is it safe and fully compatible with the WoodMart theme? – https://codecanyon.net/item/hide-my-wp-amazing-security-plugin-for-wordpress/4177158
Sorry, but we didn’t test our theme with this plugin.
