Adding new categories to the categories menu

I am looking to add new product categories to the Categories menu. However, when I add a new product cat to the menu it does not have the same configuration settings as the default cats that came loaded on the template site.

Please follow the below steps:
1. Add new Category menu item into the menu.
2. Then click save button to save the menu.
3. Then again edit the new category menu item, you will see all the options.
