nybbleltdParticipantHi there.
We are trying to create a Variable Subscription – but the cart doesnt seem to work properly, and we have to manually refresh the page for it to appear in the cart.
January 15, 2025 at 2:13 pm #629927Hello,
Thank you so much for contacting our support center.
To better assist you, could you kindly test the functionality with default WordPress themes such as TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront? This will help us determine whether the issue stems from our theme or elsewhere.
Regards

nybbleltdParticipantBut that theme doesnt have a Ajax cart? It just goes directly to cart when I add it?
I have added the theme anyway. Its now on a staging site.
January 15, 2025 at 3:01 pm #629957If you mean add to cart on the single product page, it may not work with extra extensions of the add to cart functionality. That is why you need to disable it in Theme Settings to return the default WooCommerce functionality.

nybbleltdParticipantProbably easier to watch this?

nybbleltdParticipantSo you cannot help??
January 15, 2025 at 5:29 pm #630022As we can see, you have extra fields added by installed plugins. That is why, AJAX add to cart will not work correctly. You need to disable it in Theme Settings. There is no workaround for this, unfortunately.
January 15, 2025 at 5:40 pm #630029
nybbleltdParticipantThats not really answering my question though is it?
Did you even watch the video?
Why doesnt it work with Variable Subscriptions, but works for everything else? I have just paid £40 for support, and you wont even help?
January 15, 2025 at 5:54 pm #630036As we can see, there is some kind of redirect to checkout activated. Could you please send two links: one that works and one that doesn’t work?
January 15, 2025 at 6:01 pm #630038
nybbleltdParticipantWorking – https://bmk.nybble.design/mostneedy/
Not Working – https://bmk.nybble.design/10/January 15, 2025 at 6:05 pm #630040Yes, the problem is caused by the fact that second product has some redirect to checkout. The same you can see with the default theme.
You need to disable this option somewhere in your plugins configurations.January 15, 2025 at 6:07 pm #630041
nybbleltdParticipantIts not redirecting to checkout though? Its staying on the same page and not doing anything.
January 15, 2025 at 6:08 pm #630042Please check how it works with the default theme. Because of this redirect, the AJAX request can’t be done correctly.
January 16, 2025 at 11:59 am #630184
nybbleltdParticipantSo if we can fix the redirect to cart – then the mini cart will work fine? Is that what you are saying?
January 16, 2025 at 12:22 pm #630194We can’t guarantee this since AJAX add to cart may not work with plugins that add custom fields. But anyway, we can’t check it while the redirect is active for this product.
January 16, 2025 at 12:31 pm #630199
nybbleltdParticipantOK – what do you think would be causing the redirect? There is 100% no code that I have added that does this, so it can only be the WooCommerce Subscription plugin adding that when you choose Variable Subscription – becuase as I say it works and has always worked fine. But since the site went live – we have always just chosen Variable Product and not Variable Subscription which is why we have only just seen the problem.
January 16, 2025 at 12:38 pm #630201Yes, it seems to be related to the plugin. Check plugin settings or contact developers to ask how to disable this redirect.
