davidParticipantPlease visit my site and slowly scroll down to the bottom of the page. When the testimonial slider reaches the top of the document, it changes its height. This should not happen.
– Auto height is disabled
– Woodmart version 8.0.6
– Elementor version 3.24.6 (cannot update, see this topic: https://xtemos.com/forums/topic/elementor-update-not-working/)January 15, 2025 at 5:30 pm #630024
Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Could you please record a short video of the problem so we can better understand how to reproduce it?
Thank you in advance.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Please disable any plugins not directly related to our theme and provide us with your admin access details. We will log in to your dashboard and investigate the issue. Please ensure that you only keep the following plugins that are necessary for our theme to work correctly:
– WoodMart core
– WooCommerce
– Elementor/WPBakery Page BuilderThank you in advance.

davidParticipantI have deactivated all plugins, except for “Password Protected”, because the homepage should not be made public yet.
Please note that I have two other open topics and that several members of your support team may be working on the homepage.
Also, the Elementor update doesn’t really seem to be compatible if you are considering installing the update:

Artem TemosKeymasterTo fix this issue, you need to either keep all testimonials have the same height or enable Auto height option for this element on the home page https://gyazo.com/554914232951bce279e73ae964a901b9

davidParticipantAuto height is not an option, because it changes the height of the document, when the slides change. Where do I find the option to have the same height for all slides?
If there is no such option, then the testimonials element seems kind of useless to me. This is because it is very unlikely that testimonials will always be the same length. Or am I missing the whole point of this element?
Thanks for your help!

Artem TemosKeymasterIn this case, try to set the first element in the slider to have the highest height. So, the longest text should be in the first place. It should fix the issue.

davidParticipantOk, this seems to work. But you have to agree that this is not a real fix. I would like to decide freely which testimonial I would like to have in the first place. It should be possible to determine the height of the longest testimonial, even if it is not in first place, and to set the height of the carousel depending on this.

davidParticipantI don’t want to put any pressure on you, but as you have replied directly to my other topics, I just wanted to ask whether this “bug” is still being processed or not? Because depending on that, I would look for another solution on my homepage.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
If you want, we can give you a custom CSS to make the first testimonial to have a fixed height which should fix the problem. You will need to define this height to be equal to the longest testimonial height.
Kind Regards

davidParticipantThank you, but I will not need that css code. And I don’t know, if this will work, when I resize the browser window and the text breaks into more lines. Also this would be to complicated for my client. I still think, that there should be a solution as described previously. But please let me know if there isn’t and I will look for another solution.

Artem TemosKeymasterWhen the page is loaded, only the first testimonial is shown. Only when all scripts complete loading it creates a carousel. And because you have taller testimonials next to the first one, you see this “jump” effect. There are no other solutions except all I proposed above.

davidParticipantAh ok, thank you so much for clarifying 🙂
