In Woocommerce’s Custom Settings I have set the category display of Product Catalogues to show subcategories, but I would like to set the Layout Settings of Woodmart to set Archive Product not to show subcategories but just to show products.

    Hello,

The Product Archive Widget works similarly to the default WooCommerce functionality. To modify the display of the product catalog, navigate to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Category Display, and choose your desired display settings.

I think you didn’t understand what I meant, I meant to set it from Layout to just show products, because I have a lot of categories on my site, some of which I just want to show subcategories, and some of which I just want to show products

There is another problem, in the setup of Sidebar’s Widget when you select the category list, but the Widget displays a list of categories that shows all categories by default, but the effect I want to achieve is to display only the subcategories of the current category or the subcategories of the specified category, is there any way to set this?

    Hello,

    01. You are using the Product Archive widget in the layout, which works based on the shop page display settings configured under Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Category Display. Unfortunately, this widget doesn’t offer an option to show only products directly within its settings.

If you want to display only products, consider using the Products Grid or Carousel Widget, which are designed to showcase products exclusively.

    02. The default behavior of the category list widget in the sidebar is to display all categories. Unfortunately, it doesn’t automatically filter to show only subcategories of the current category or a specified category.

If there is some specific Category that you want to hide on the Sidebar then kindly, mention that and I will provide you the Custom CSS in this regard.

Yes, I very much need to hide content that is not the current category and current subcategory, for example, my current page is NBA, I only need to show the NBA category and NBA subcategory, and hide the rest, how to set it up please? And is this CSS something that needs to be set globally? Can it be set on a specific Page?

    Hello,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to achieve this within the categories widget in the sidebar.

However, you can enable the categories option in the page title by navigating to:

Theme Settings > Product Archive > Page Title and enabling the Categories in Page Title option.
Additionally, enable the Show Current Category Ancestors option.

For example, if you visit the Men category, only its subcategories (e.g., T-shirts, Coats, Shoes) will be displayed in the page title.

The structure of the Page Title doesn’t really fit my situation as I have too many subcategories, can I enter the CSS code in your Layout function to set up the display of the specified categories?

    Hello,

If you prefer not to display categories in the page title, the shop page will currently show only the NBA category. However, when you add other categories, they will also appear alongside NBA on the shop page. This behavior is based on WooCommerce’s default category display settings.

To achieve your desired setup, you need to create a custom page for NBA and use the Product Categories widget. In the widget settings, select the “Custom Query” option and manually list only the NBA category and its subcategories: https://ibb.co/Nd6rtmd0

This will ensure that only the NBA category and its related subcategories are displayed on that specific page while keeping others hidden.

    Hope this helps!

But since I have a lot of categories, I don’t want to show the categories at the top, what I want is to show the categories on the left side of the site and just show the text and not the images!
Your screenshot shows that the category already contains images

    Hello,

Could you please share the page URL where you have set up the categories on the right, and where the images are currently showing? This will allow me to check and provide you with a possible solution.

    Best Regards,
