    Hello , we have been facing an issue where an incorrect date (2015) is being displayed on our website.
    It causes problems because it triggers a date snippet in the SERP, even though the content was fully updated in 2025.

    We have thoroughly searched through our FTP files and theme files (Woodmart), but could not locate the exact source of this date.

    We checked files such as:

    content-page.php
    content-single.php
    functions.php
    template-parts/post-meta.php
    We also searched for the_date(), the_modified_date(), and <time> elements throughout the theme, but still couldn’t find the origin.

    However, when inspecting the front-end HTML of the page, we found this block:
    <time class=”updated” datetime=”2015-10-18T17:29:42+01:00″>
    18/10/2015
    </time>
    This is what seems to be causing the date snippet issue in Google results, but we can’t locate where this is being generated in the backend.

    Could you please provide some guidance on how to remove or update this incorrect date? Any advice on which files or settings to check would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hello,

    Could you please once check how it works with some default WordPress themes like WooCommerce Storefront to understand if it is our theme issue or not?

    Kind Regards,
