I am encountering an error when attempting to add a product, specifically the following: [ please select product]. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?
The error message you’re seeing — “Please select product” — appears because the product is set as a variable product, but no attributes or variations have been added to it yet.
1. Edit the product in your WordPress dashboard.
2. Under the Product Data section, go to the Attributes tab and add attributes.
3. Then go to the Variations tab and add variations based on those attributes.
Once you’ve added the necessary attributes and variations, customers will be able to select options and add the product to the cart without seeing that message.
Alternatively, if your product doesn’t have multiple options, you can simply switch the Product type to Simple Product, set a regular price, and save — no need to use attributes or variations in that case.
