instagram feed images appearing in media library

    Hello, we noticed the images from the Instagram feed are being downloaded and added to the media library. How can we prevent this from happening?

    Hello,

    Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the Instagram feed images. The behavior you are experiencing, where the images are downloaded and added to your media library, is required for the functionality of displaying the Instagram feed on your site. Unfortunately, this cannot be disabled, as WordPress needs to store the images in order to properly display them on your website. Please note that displaying images directly from Instagram is not possible due to Instagram’s API restrictions.

    Just to confirm, there is no solution in place for the WoodMart theme to offload any of the Instagram images at any point in time? We’re concerned about the website’s size as a whole as more and more Instagram post images are added to the Media Library.

    It will not be a problem if you turn on the “Delete outdated images” option in Theme Settings -> API Integrations -> Instagram API https://gyazo.com/930edb3eeb3142c8c817ade6c1f793d6
