GorcezanParticipant– Hi, I disabled Gutenberg to improve the health of the site and also everything through Elementor.
– but there is a problem when editing a product – in the classic WooCommerce editor the product description block disappeared (after disabling Gutenberg in function Php )
– I had to forcefully display the product description block via the function php. And that’s good. Because the main description block is necessary for SEO.
– Yoast sees the content block, but for some reason not all the text. Google seems to see it.question:
1. Is it possible to edit the main content block using the classic editor without Gutenberg based on the theme’s features? So that it would then be transparent for Yoast and Google.
2. Can the main description block be displayed only in the TAB section? Will it be necessary separately, is it not possible separately as a short description? Or only through Elementor Premium?
3. Where do I edit the demo content if the main description field is not filled in? (it must be empty by default or my content)Attachments:

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Install the Classic Editor plugin instead of disabling it via PHP. Then recheck the issue with that block in WooCommerce.
2. In general, the main description block is shown by default in the tab on the product page as on your screenshot – https://prnt.sc/F9FWe0mLVDaS , if you use Layouts for the product page, you can separate that block by using the Product content element – https://prnt.sc/AU-fS5f8rMrR
3. In the settings of the product – https://prnt.sc/5LFji3n_Knp2 , you need to edit the product and then you will be able to edit the description tab.
Kind Regards

GorcezanParticipantI edit the product layout. But the main product description template is not editable. Neither the structure is edited. nor even if I enter my own text to replace the demo context, it is not saved.
For example, I want to create a content block, but if it is long (which is desirable for SEO) I want to hide it via an additional button. Currently, nothing is editable here.
I can’t add any elementor blocks here.

GorcezanParticipantI didn\’t turn off the classic editor. I just didn\’t have a basic product description block at all. I need to call it intentionally using the function php.
Do you mean I have a classic editor but a stripped-down version and on top of it I need to install an additional plugin?Attachments:

GorcezanParticipantAre you suggesting that I edit the description of each product through Elementor? And so several thousand products? I thought it would be logical to have a layout, and then in the classic editor to enter information as it is implemented in the short description.

GorcezanParticipantOk

Luke NielsenKeymasterEdit the product via Elementor as shown here – https://prnt.sc/dX96-L29aiUF and then you will be able to change the description – https://prnt.sc/U4HojJJwxY5f

GorcezanParticipantI’m sorry, but I’ll repeat, is it possible to edit each product through Elementor?
– it might be easier to create a layout and edit in the classic editor as it is done for short descriptions?.But now in those products where there is no filled field, demo content is shown. I understand that now I have to edit manually. And while I’m doing this, the demo is displayed and indexed on the site. It would be nice to have the option to edit the demo block by default or just hide it. And even better is editing through Layouts.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Here is shown on how to edit the product via Elementor.
– it might be easier to create a layout and edit in the classic editor as it is done for short descriptions?.
Such configuration comes from WooCommerce by default, and you can be sure of that by checking it on the default theme – https://prnt.sc/6bV1xTonI6RV -> https://prnt.sc/7jk3KzBAOi08
The demo content is shown on all products because you used 1 product from the import with the defined description and then you duplicated that 1 product and as a result, you have 1 description for all products.

GorcezanParticipantYou sent me a screenshot of the short description. I have no questions about this. I can output the short description without any problems through the classic editor. But for Google and Yoast, the full description of the product is important for SEO. Therefore, I want to output the full description in the same way as it happens with the short description.
– You can enable editing of this description block not in each product, so that it is possible to change the layout itself in Elementor and perform an action on all products at the same time.
– What exactly is currently forming this block of demo comments? Vukomerc or theme? Is it not possible to optionally disable the demo text immediately? So that it is empty by default. That is, then not to edit the product but to add information. But if it is possible to edit the layout of this block in Elementor for the entire theme, it will be better and the question of “being empty” disappears.Attachments:

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Either edit the product via WordPress editor – https://prnt.sc/JPMat31zGu7_ -> https://prnt.sc/7O614npMXsny , or disable the “Product” post type in the settings of the Elementor – https://prnt.sc/2RHeTxBYKPwv then you will be able to edit the description in the tab like short description.
Kind Regards

GorcezanParticipantSo, yes, it is possible to edit a new description without an element through the classic editor and CSS.
Anyway, I know: how can I implement the editing of a block description through Elementor in layouts?Do you want me to delete demo content manually for everyone? Is it possible to edit via archive decription in emetror premium or additional plugins?

Luke NielsenKeymasterSorry, for now, it’s not possible to edit/remove Description information of the product via Layouts, unfortunately.
So the best way is to remove it manually for each product.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Kind Regards

GorcezanParticipantyes, there is a problem. highlighting elements for the product opens access for the classic editor, but the theme itself substitutes the demo content block as priority. Therefore, this option does not work. It would be good if there was some optimization of the theme in this matter. Thank you, I will solve something myself.
