    Hi there

We enabled the sticky footer option on product pages which generally works great.

However, we’re using another gallery mode with “sticky product” and while scrolling down, the footer shows already when the options/variations and Add-2-Basket button from Woocommerce is still visible. We would expect the sticky footer only to show when these standard-elements from Woocommerce are not shown on the screen anymore (further scrolling down). Otherwise, a user has multiple “call to actions” visible in the screen.

See screenshot attached. Is there any way to fix this?

    Many thanks

    Hello,

We’d like to clarify that this is the default functionality of the theme. When the “Select Option” button inside the Sticky Add to Cart bar is clicked, it automatically scrolls the page up to the variation selection area of the single product page. This behavior is intentional and built into the theme.

Unfortunately, at this time, it is not possible through the theme settings to make the sticky Add to Cart bar appear only after the standard WooCommerce elements (such as variation selectors) are no longer visible on the screen.

Many thanks for your swift reply. Yes, we love this feature of “scroll to top”.

However, I guess it doesn’t work properly in Woodmart core as soon as we choose another gallery style (i.e. Combined Grid 1).

When scrolling down, the sticky bar at the bottom is showing up too early and when clicking on “Select options”, the scroll behavior somehow affects the images in the gallery only. I’ve attached a screencast to see the behavior.

Any advice how to fix this behavior for other gallery styles on product pages? We would expect the bottom bar only to load as soon as the gallery images and “Add 2 basket button” are not visible on the page anymore.

    Many thanks

    Hello,

I’ve tested this on our test site using the Combined Grid 1 gallery layout. In this layout, the product images are displayed in a long vertical grid.

Since the Sticky Product option is enabled, the sticky Add to Cart bar appears while scrolling. This is expected behavior. When the description section is taller than the image section, the images stay fixed during scroll, which causes the sticky bar to show earlier.

In other gallery layouts like Thumbnail Left or Thumbnail Bottom, the images are displayed in a carousel. These layouts don’t scroll as much, so the sticky Add to Cart bar doesn’t appear until the user scrolls past the entire section.

This difference in behavior is due to the layout and scroll structure of each gallery style.

    Hello,

Many thanks for your feedback and the tests performed.

Exactly, we were wondering how to improve/change this UX as from a customer POV (even if it’s working as “designed”) it’s somehow not ideal UX when using the Combined Grid Gallery on Product Pages as we do.

Is there any way to improve that the behavior with Combined-Grid-Gallery usage is similar to all other galleries (where the Woodmart build-in UX is great)?

    Many thanks

    Hello,

Sorry, but there is no option in Theme Settings available for that.
It requires customizations, and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.

    Best Regards,
