Weird issue when importing product

    Hello!

    We imported product and it does not work properly?
    It looks like some scripts are not running properly or something very weird is happening?
    What could be the issue?

    All other products work fine. Only products that are imported behave this way.

    All products which are imported happen the following issue:

    • 1) There are some weird Chinese characters
    • 2) JavaScript does not seem to be working properly.
    • 3) Quantity change does not work.
    • 4) Add to cart does not work.
    • 5) Tabs do not work properly. Such as. Additional Information, Shipping information etc…
    • 6) Variation swatches do not work properly

    Steps tried so far:

    • Issue is resolved when changing from Child Theme to Main Basel Theme or any other theme but we need to get it working with the child theme.
    • Multiple times tried re-importing products. Checking what is difference in data of exported and imported products but there does not seem to be any difference, thus it something related to theme.

    Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern. Based on the information provided, it seems that the issue is associated with custom code within the child theme, as the problem is resolved when switching to the main Basel theme.

    I recommend reviewing any custom scripts or modifications made within your child theme that could potentially interfere with the imported products’ functionality. You might want to specifically check for custom JavaScript and PHP functions related to product display and interaction.

    Thank you for the reply.

    We have removed all custom code from functions.php and it seems to work partially, there are still some issues.

    • Weird Chinese characters are displayed on the site, any other product do not have this issues.
    • Icons don’t seem to work properly

    Actually I think it’s issue that is related to our clone site. No further actions needed from you guys. We will clone site again and get back to you.
