I’ve encountered a critical issue involving Woodmart’s built-in “guest cart recovery” feature, the one that allows recontacting users via email if they abandon their cart.
In my store, when this feature is enabled, customers are unable to complete checkout. They are shown this generic error message:
“Se ha producido un error al procesar el pago: Se ha producido un problema al procesar el pago.”
(An error occurred while processing the payment: A problem occurred while processing the payment)
Also, I use Stripe as a payment proccesor
What I Tested:
Same product
Same customer data
Same card
Same setup and environment
Only difference: Disabled the guest cart recovery feature
Result: The payment processed successfully 100% of the times
I redid this a couple of times and everything points to that specific feature of Woodmart being the main culprit.
It was very difficult to trace this kind of issue, and most store owners would never suspect a cart recovery setting as the cause of failed checkouts. I can assure you that other Woodmart users will run into this same problem and won’t know why their customers can’t pay, please look into this.
