Product archives load default Shop image header before assigned header image
-
Hi,
I have noticed while testing to improve Product Category LCP, that on the Header / Category page title background, the default “shop page” image loads first, then after the assigned image. (see screenshot)
Is there a reason this happens? This is delaying the LCP load and, in some cases, causing the actual Category page title background image to be assigned Lazy Load as it’s not the first image.
Is this an error in my theme from a setting I have done wrong?

Send me access to the admin panel so I can check where that image comes from.
Looking forward to collaborating with you!

Hello,
At the moment, it works well. We have tested it via the browser. Here are screenshots:

Most likely, it happened because of some sort of CSS optimization from the 3rd party plugins.

Hi,
Thanks for the input. I understand your point of view. But from what I can see, the image should not be loaded for this page in the first place? why does the theme call to load this image if there is already another assigned header image? It is doing for all product category pages (see screenshot).
Is this necessary for your theme, or an error in my settings?

Hello,
You have set another image for the category in its settings – https://prnt.sc/XoVFxyOlMV4i , remove it and then it will not be loaded.

Hi Luke,
The image you are mentioning is the image I want to be loaded, not the default that flashes prior to it.
Hello,
The default that flashes is because of the optimization plugins. Please disable all plugins except these ones:
Elementor
Woodmart Core
WooCommerce
Enable the Parent theme
Then activate the plugins one by one, checking the issue to detect which one causes the problem.
Kind Regards
