    Hello team, I have a few questions regarding the filter by category. I am using the widget called “WOODMART Product Category Filter” inside the Shop page widget area. I notice two things:
    1) When I filter by category, instead of the category NAME (“Ваучер”) it shows the category SLUG (“Vouchers”). How can I fix this?
    2) When I open a category, in this case “Vouchers”, the rest of the widgets are gone and only the category one is shown. I assume this is because I have added the filters in the “Shop page widget area”. Is there any way to add them to the categories pages as well?

    Hello,

    You can fix it by applying patch # 685742. To do this, go to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Patcher, find the corresponding patch and click on the “Apply” button. Let us know if it works for you.

    Thank you, that worked.

    As to the second issue:
    2) When I open a category, in this case “Vouchers”, the rest of the widgets are gone and only the category one is shown. Is there any way to add them to the categories pages as well? I can confirm that everything works fine when I enter in the attribute. Please check the video attached.

    Other widgets disappear because the product in the Vouchers category has no attributes. If you filter by the All category, you can see that the filters are there — this is because the products in this category have the attributes required by the filters – https://gyazo.com/bf69723dcc5a319cfcbfd1290d2be073

    Hey again,

    I mean the following. Even if a product doesn’t have all attributes, when I click on “Wine series” > “Enologist selection”, I see the filtered result, however the sidebar with all other filters still appears. I’d like for this to be when I filter by categories as well, since I find it quite counter-intuitive for a non tech-savvy user to know they need to clear the filter before they can see other products/ filters

    Also, can I ask you what is the difference between shop filters and Shop page widget area? I’d like to have these widgets on shop page and categories. Which one shall I use?

    Hello,

    We understand your point and already have this in the feature requests. We will try to improve our categories filter widget in our future updates. But there is no workaround for now, unfortunately.

    As for the filters area, you need to use “Shop page widget area” for your website. Shop filters work differently – https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/how-to-add-filters-are-in-custom-shop-page/
