Woodmart Support Team,
We want checkout to auto fill City and State from Postcode. Requirement is India and global. For India, mapping should follow India Post state names to WooCommerce state codes. For other countries, any reliable source that returns City and State from ZIP or Postcode works. This must remain stable when Country changes because we switch payment gateways on country change. It should also survive WooCommerce updated checkout events and payment method refreshes.
Please confirm
1. Does Woodmart have a native setting to enable postcode based autofill at checkout
2. If not, which approach do you recommend. Google Places, Zippopotam service, or any other API that you support
3. Any officially recommended plugin that is known to be compatible with Woodmart checkout and with country based gateway switching
4. The correct field selectors you expect for Postcode, City, and State on Woodmart checkout so we avoid conflicts
5. The preferred hooks or events to use so values are not wiped during Ajax re renders. Examples. updated checkout, country to state changed, payment method selected
6. Any guidance for JS optimization. What to exclude from delay or defer for this feature to work reliably
Goal is a theme compatible solution that does not break when the country changes and payment method switches between CCAvenue for India and PayPal for non India. Please advise the recommended path and any constraints we should follow.
