    Hello,

I am using Contact Form 7. Instead of a button, I have used a left arrow symbol. It displays correctly on my screen, but when I check on a Mac, it shows as an error symbol (‘?’).

Would you like me also to suggest a solution for why the arrow shows as ? on Mac?

Please check the footer in newsletter subscribtion.

    Hi,

We have checked your website and can indeed see that this icon is not displaying correctly on macOS devices. The text icon you chose to use as the button content is the Unicode Character with the code U+1F816. We checked how this icon appears outside your website on other platforms and see that it also does not display on other sites. Therefore, in this case, our theme does not affect the rendering of this icon, and unfortunately, we cannot fix this, as the issue is most likely related to its support on macOS.

How this icon looks on an external site on Windows: https://gyazo.com/bf735e7278dea829d9b2594710b07a77
How this icon looks on an external site on macOS: https://monosnap.com/file/8Ca93zobRNutrl9V9iNqknUK9vO8s9

If you want to verify this yourself, try checking how this icon appears on the operating systems you use by visiting pages such as https://unicodeplus.com/U+1F816 or https://www.compart.com/en/unicode/U+1F816. You can also search for it using a search engine with the relevant query https://www.google.com/search?q=U+1F816, or display this icon on your website using another standard WordPress theme, for example Twenty Twenty-Two or Storefront to make sure that the WoodMart theme is not causing the issue.

In this case, as one possible solution, we recommend finding a text icon that displays correctly on both operating systems, or alternatively, using a vector image inside the button.

    Kind Regards
