Hello,
We are experiencing an issue where the Woodmart Extra Category Description no longer appears on some of our product category pages.
The problem only affects certain product type categories (for example “Valises”), while brand categories (such as “Samsonite”) still display the extra description correctly.
The widget Woodmart > Shop Archive Extra Description is currently displaying the main category description instead of the extra category description.
When inspecting the HTML, we can see that the widget outputs:
<div class="wd-term-desc wd-entry-content">...</div>
but it contains the regular term_description instead of _woodmart_extra_description.
What has already been tested
Cleared all caches (Woodmart cache, Elementor cache, and browser cache).
Regenerated Elementor CSS files and synchronized all templates.
Disabled AJAX shop features temporarily.
Re-saved the category description and the extra category description.
Verified via PHP that the _woodmart_extra_description meta field exists in the database for the affected categories.
Tested displaying the extra description manually through a shortcode (reading _woodmart_extra_description and woodmart_extra_description), but the widget still renders the main description.
Summary
The issue appears to be related to how the extra category description metadata is loaded or cached after modifying or saving the layout (especially when a Page Title Background is added or removed).
We would appreciate it if your team could check directly on the site to identify and fix what is preventing the extra category description from being displayed on these layouts.
