Possible to have Product Categories Carousel to be in AJAX?

Hello,
Is it possible to have the product categories carousel widget to be in ajax format so that it loads product live and selection stays as it is when the relevant products for the selected categories load up.
Currently it is a fresh reload of the carousel when any category is selected. And it always resets back to the default (not intuitive).

Currently, the Product Categories Carousel in WoodMart is not built with live AJAX loading. When you select a category, the carousel reloads and resets to the default because it performs a full category page.
