Navigate to WooCommerce -> Settings -> Products -> Inventory -> turn off the “Hide out of stock items from the catalog” option. Clear the cache and check how it works.

January 13, 2026 at 2:11 pm #704208Hello,
To enable a waitlist for specific out-of-stock variations, those variations must remain visible and selectable. This allows customers to choose the variation and then join the waitlist. The red “X” status will still correctly show Out of stock, and the waitlist option will appear for that variation — this is expected behavior.
If variation swatches are disabled or hidden, customers cannot select the variation, so there is no way for them to join the waitlist. Therefore, the variations need to stay visible for the waitlist feature to work.

luluaczaParticipantUnderstood thank you, maybe it can be thought about to put i cross over it when it is not in stock for future update releases.
January 13, 2026 at 3:26 pm #704227Hello,
Actually, the disabled Swatch style is for the variants of the Products that are disabled, not for the Out of Stock variants. So, you need to have the variant of the Product not checked with the Enable option on it and then the Disabled Swatch style will work accordingly.

It sounds like everything is working as the theme is designed
When you uncheck “Enable” on a variation, that variation is considered not available for sale at all — not just out of stock. That’s why WooCommerce shows “This product is not available anymore”. Those variations are treated as disabled products, not out-of-stock ones. This is the way it works.
