marketing-2044ParticipantHello, I’m experiencing a critical error when attempting to activate the WoodMart theme on my staging environment. The site displays “There has been a critical error on this website” immediately upon theme activation.
Uploaded “woodmart.zip” via Appearance – Themes – Add New
Clicked “Activate”Result: Critical error, Staging site completely inaccessible.
WordPress Version: 6.8.1
WooCommerce Version: 10.4.2
PHP Version: 8.2.28
MySQL Version: 8
Server: Aruba Hosting (Italy)
Memory Limit: 1024M
Max Execution Time: 900s
WoodMart Version Tested: Both original package and TF_PACKAGE updateThe production site currently runs on Umbala theme and works perfectly.
Staging environment is an exact clone of production (working fine with Umbala).
This is a fresh WoodMart purchase/download.
License has not been activated yet (error occurs before reaching setup wizard)!Thank you!
January 22, 2026 at 10:05 pm #705693Hello,
Thank you so much for purchasing our theme and contacting our support center.
Please disable all plugins that are not related to our theme so we can try to activate our theme and see how it goes.
Kind Regards

marketing-2044ParticipantThank you! The theme is now active after disabling conflicting plugins.
I have this remaining issue: see attached screenshot (Maybe WPBakery/Visual Composer?)
Also, which plugins from my previous setup are known to conflict with
WoodMart? I need to reactivate payment gateways and shipping plugins. Thanks again for your help!

As for the conflicting plugins, you can activate them one by one and see which one causes problems on your website.January 23, 2026 at 4:56 pm #705847
marketing-2044ParticipantThank you for clarifying!
I’m installing WoodMart Core plugin now, then I’ll check which pages
contain WPBakery shortcodes and decide whether to switch page builders. Will update you shortly, thanks for your help.
