ideageek.netParticipantHi,
Is there a possible way to show cross sell product using the layout parts for single product? I tried to use the “Products (grid or carousel)” element on WP Bakery, the only option it gives is “Related Products” and “Up Sells”
I don’t see a cross sell option. However, the same “Products (grid or carousel)” element is displaying “Cross Sell” if I am use it in the layouts for the cart page.
I am trying to display the cross sell products below in the single product page. I cannot work with “Related Product” , because it sometimes show irrelevant products in that section since it’s based on category or tags and I do not wish to use “Up Sell” either in the single product page as it’s function is different.
My products are based on same designs sets per category. So when an single product is opened, I want to show the rest of the design sets below as a carousal for the customer to view. Cross sell works best with this. But I want to show in the product page instead of the cart.
And strangely enough- up sell option doesn’t show for cart layout part. Is this a WooCommerce limitation? Attached screenshot for reference.
Thanks in advance.

By default in WooCommerce, cross-sell products are not displayed on the single product page. They are shown in the cart page, not on the product page — that’s why nothing appears in the single product layout.
If you want to show products on the single product page, you should Up-sells (Products > Edit product > Linked Products > Upsells),
Please follow this guide and see how it works: https://woocommerce.com/document/related-products-up-sells-and-cross-sells/

ideageek.netParticipantHi Aizaz,
Thank you for getting back on this. I understand that this can be done via Up-Sells, as I mentioned in my post, I have a set of designs that works best with Cross-Sells, and not Up-Sells. Technically products shown on Up-Sell is a better product than what customer actually sees. So Up-Sells doesn’t make sense here for our store as we want to show equally similar quality product, not a better product that what customer sees on the single product page.
I am wondering if this can be achieved using custom code via edition functions on a child theme.
Hope this clarifies my question.
Thanks in advance.
February 7, 2026 at 6:57 pm #707669Hello,
Currently, cross-sells are designed by WooCommerce to display in the Cart page based on the products added. There are no options in theme settings to display the cross-sells product in the single product page. It requires Customization and this is beyond our limitations and support policy scope.
