vynilParticipantHi team, I noticed an issue with the Free gifts feature. In the settings I have selected the free gift not to be applicable if a specific product is in the cart – gift card. Yet, when this rule is enabled, the free gift doesn’t show at all, even if the gift card is not added to the cart. If this rule is removed, the feature works correctly. I recorded a short video for better understanding: https://youtu.be/a0WdIcRXdrA
Attached is also temp access.
Also, currently you can only manually select all variations of a variable product. Is it possible to make it available to choose the parent/ main product only?
February 17, 2026 at 2:12 pm #708846Hello,
To make the Free Gift appear correctly while excluding a specific product (like Gift Card), you can configure the conditions as follows:
Rule type: Automatic Gifts (so the gift is added automatically when conditions are met).
Free gifts: Select the product(s) to offer as gifts.
Products in cart condition > Comparison condition: Exclude
Condition type: Specific product(s) > select the Gift Card product(s) you want to exclude.\

vynilParticipantHello! But I intentionally want to use the Manual gift type. Also I can confirm I followed the steps you explained and the issue persists. You can clearly see that in the video I attached, can you please recheck?
February 18, 2026 at 10:05 am #708929Hello,
The behavior you’re seeing happens because of how the conditions are configured.
When you want to exclude a specific product (like the Gift Card) from triggering the free gift, you cannot use only the “Exclude” condition. In your video, only the exclude condition is applied, which prevents the gift from showing at all.The correct approach is:
Set an Include condition for the products that should be eligible for the free gift.
Then, add an Exclude condition specifically for the product(s) you want to exclude (e.g., Gift Card).
Best Regards

vynilParticipantHi, thanks for the explanation. However there is no way to choose all products in bulk minus the gift card. I have over 60+ products, does this mean I need to manually add each of them? Would it be possible to introduce a way to “include” all products minus certain “excluded” products?
February 18, 2026 at 3:19 pm #709027Hello,
At the moment, the Free Gifts feature does not support a global “include all products except X” condition. The logic works strictly as follows:
Include conditions define the exact products/categories/attributes that are eligible and Exclude conditions only work in combination with an Include rule and cannot function alone as a global fallback.
You would indeed need to:
Either manually include the eligible products (or categories), or Use a Include condition such as a product category or attribute, and then exclude the Gift Card product.
If possible, assign all regular products to a common category. use that category in the Include condition, and then exclude the Gift Card product specifically.

vynilParticipantI understand completely, thank you for guiding me through the details. Everything is good now, you may close the ticket.
