maglakelidzeanriParticipantHello Woodmart Support Team,
We are experiencing an issue with Woodmart Popups when used together with WPML on our WooCommerce website.
Environment
Theme: Woodmart v8.4.1
WordPress: 6.9.1
PHP: 8.2
WPML Multilingual CMS: 4.8.6
WPML String Translation: active
Elementor: 3.35.6
Issue Summary
When translating a popup created with Woodmart (Elementor popup) using WPML, the following problems occur:
Popup duplication
When both language versions of the popup are active, the popup appears twice in sequence.
First the original popup appears, then immediately after closing it the translated popup appears.
Fallback workaround
We disabled the translated popup (set English popup toggle OFF) and left only the original popup active.
This prevents the double popup issue.
Styling inconsistency
When the popup appears on the English version of the site (using fallback translation), some styles are missing, specifically the border-radius on the popup container.
The Georgian version renders correctly with rounded corners, while the English version renders without them.
Steps we followed
Set wd_popup in WPML settings to:
Translatable → “use translation if available or fallback to default language”
Created popup translation using WPML.
Tested with:
both popups active
only original popup active
Regenerated Elementor CSS:
Elementor → Tools → Regenerate CSS & Data
Cleared caches and browser cookies.
Results
When both popups are active → popup shows twice.
When translation popup is disabled → popup shows once, but style differences appear between languages.
Questions
Could you please clarify:
What is the recommended configuration for Woodmart Popups when used with WPML?
Should popups be translated using WPML translations, or should only one popup be used with fallback?
Is there a known compatibility issue between Woodmart popup system and WPML translations?
Why would the translated popup lose container styling such as border-radius?
We would appreciate guidance on the correct workflow for multilingual popups with WPML, as the current behavior results in duplicated popups or styling inconsistencies.
Best regards,

maglakelidzeanriParticipantHello Aizaz,
Thank you for the update. I have cleared the cache and the issue seems to be resolved now.
However, since this is a client’s website, I need to provide them with a detailed report on what caused the issue and how it was fixed.
Could you please clarify:
What was the root cause of the issue? (Was it a configuration error, a bug, or just a caching conflict?)
What specific changes did you make? Did you adjust any WPML or Woodmart settings, or was it strictly a cache-clearing procedure?
Knowing these details will help us avoid similar issues in the future and keep our client informed.
Best regards,

maglakelidzeanriParticipantI question – translation process is the same for Woodmart’s new popup feature? I mean popup as post type, not in theme settings popup. Thanks
March 12, 2026 at 12:44 pm #712271Hello,
Yes, the translation process is the same, translate it as a post type. The Theme settings is only for the selection of the popup.
Best Regards.
