Hello! We have redesigned a website using the WoodMart theme.

The reason we are writing is that we recently moved this new site from development to production, and we encountered an issue when customers make purchases in the store.

The problem is that when we receive the order information by email and in the WooCommerce orders, we notice that the product quantities increase, although the costs are correct. In other words, the customer adds one product to their cart, but it shows as if they added 2 or 3 units, sometimes even more. However, the total cost corresponds to only one product, so there seems to be an issue with the quantities. Only on one occasion did it affect the price.

Additionally, for some products, extra information appears that should not be there, such as “method_id”, “instance_id”, “total_tax”. It even adds another row named “articulos” with other items that the customer did not select.

    Some important clues:
    • This only appears after the purchase is completed, in the order confirmation. Nothing “extra” appears in the cart.
    • It never occurred in staging, only after moving to production, which makes us suspect the database, which was carried over from the previous site.
    • We tried changing the theme and disabling plugins, and it does not seem to be caused by these elements.
    • We tested in incognito mode and cleared the cache, and the issue still occurred, so it does not appear to be a caching problem.

Any ideas on where the issue might be coming from would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hello,

Please check how it works with the default WordPress theme and Woocommerce Storefront theme just to check whether the issue is with our theme or not. Also, please check the site with our theme but only with the theme default plugins activate, and deactivate all the 3rd party plugins from the site.

If it works fine with the default WordPress theme then provide the admin panel login details of the website to check it myself and help you out accordingly.

    Best Regards

Hello, thank you very much for attending to our inquiry. Unfortunately, the tests were negative. We deactivated the plugins and tried changing the theme, but the error still persists. Do you have any other idea what might be causing this issue? Could it be something related to the database?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello,

You have checked with the default theme, and the issue remains, which means it is not our theme issue.

Please contact the WooCommerce community in this regard. They will guide you better because this functionality comes from WooCommerce.

    Best Regards
