    Hi!

I made my translations in loco plugin to my own country language. I can see the transations in loco, but cant see in public side. I checked your documentation, and I made it all of steps right.

The translation error is only partial, for some reason it only doesn’t translate certain elements, even though I can see them in loco translate.

    Typical translation problem areas:
Off canvas cart, checkout pages steps, single product page.

I checked the language files of other woocommerce related plugins to see if there was something in them that could override it, but I didn’t find a string like Return to Shop in any of them. This is a very unique Hitek Theme. I can see in Loco translate that I translated it and synchronized it, but it still remains in English on the public page. (this is just an example)

I also tried moving the files from “languages/loco/themes/xts-theme-hu_HU.po” to “languages/themes/xts-theme-hu_HU.po”, but that didn’t help either.

Can we temporarily turn off external plugins and switch to the parent theme for troubleshooting?

This is an active live site, so it would be quite a risky move.
Plugins such as cache+CDN (fastpixel) can be turned off, but plugins necessary for operation cannot be turned off, because we have continuous visitors and customers.

If it is unavoidable and absolutely necessary, please put the page into maintenance mode so that visitors do not have to watch the testing phase and restore the original state as soon as possible to minimize the loss of economic revenue.

Thank you very much for your work and attention!

Can you exmplain what was the problem?

    – BTW, some translatation did not yet (close, return to shop, add to wishlist, compare, track price, buy now, share, ect.)
    – You have broken one of our payment solutions (instacash) deleted all of datas, api keys and others, so I have to pay for the instacash team support. 🙁
    – You deleted lots of translated lines, so I have to translate these again. (from 3% i can see 1% translataions in loco translate).

    Hello,

Thanks for the update and sorry for the inconvenience.

    – During verification we had to reinstall the theme translations to eliminate a possible manual translation error as a factor. We added only a few test translations to confirm that strings load correctly on the frontend.
    – About Instacash: we did not delete any data or keys. For troubleshooting we only temporarily disabled third‑party plugins on your site and enabled maintenance mode, as you allowed.

As for now, we see that translations work as expected https://monosnap.ai/file/SmYCfLndUUQpsF79z4nhfeJogYFmTd

    Kind Regards

    – Yes, you can see it because I started to re-translate the missing elements. This will take a few hours of my life, it is in progress. 🙁

    – The instacash plugin is connected to the company’s headquarters. If I turn it off, it forgets all your data (according to rumors, this is a security mechanism, but I think it is poor quality development). In order for it to work again (to set up the necessary things) I have to pay for the support work. (I specifically asked you not to turn off elements that are important for operation, because this is a live site. Well, a payment gateway is the basis for operation for me.)

    – However, I still haven’t figured out what caused this error? I’m interested so that if I encounter something similar in the future, I know where to look.

    – I see that you have set the language file path to: languages/themes/xts-theme-hu_HU.po
Question, will it disappear or be overwritten with the next hit update?

We are sorry for the inconvenience. But in your reply #715967 you wrote that we can disable everything if necessary and put your website into maintenance mode. You didn’t mention this plugin to always be turned on.

    – However, I still haven’t figured out what caused this error? I’m interested so that if I encounter something similar in the future, I know where to look.

The problem was caused by a translation of the theme core plugin. You don’t need to do this at all. Only theme should be translated. Anyway, we will fix this in our next theme update.

It is the right place to store theme translations and they will not disappear after a theme update.

Anyway, maybe you have a backup of the website? You can restore it now and we will fix the translation problem again without turning off anything and rewriting old translation files.

    Kind Regards

Unfortunately I only have incremental backups, orders, users, products, ect.
But that’s okay, I’ll do it again, this won’t happen again.

Thank you for the support and your time.
