Good afternoon! I purchased a license for the WoodMart WordPress theme. The site will be developed on a third-level subdomain. The license will need to be activated later for the second-level domain. Could you tell me how I can pre-register for the third-level domain (while the site is under development) and then register the license for the second-level domain—the final working domain?

    Hello,

Here is exactly how you can manage your license for this project:

    1. The “Dual Activation” Rule
WoodMart allows one license to be used for two activations: one for your production (live) site and one for a staging (development) site.

Since you are starting on a third-level subdomain (e.g., dev.staging.yourdomain.com), you can activate the license there immediately to receive theme updates and access the template library during development.

    2. How to Register the Subdomain Now
Log in to your WordPress dashboard on the subdomain.

Navigate to WoodMart > Theme License.

Enter your Purchase Code from ThemeForest.

The system will recognize this activation. If the URL looks like a development environment, it often automatically categorizes it as “Staging.”

    3. Moving to the Main Domain Later
When you are ready to go live on your second-level domain (e.g., yourdomain.com), you have two easy ways to “transfer” or set up the license:

    – Option A: Automatic Transfer
In most cases, you can simply enter the same purchase code on the new live site. If you have already used your “Staging” and “Production” slots, the theme may ask you to deactivate the old one.

    – Option B: Manual Deactivation (Recommended)
Before (or after) moving the site, you can manage your activations through the XTemos Account Dashboard:

    1. Go to xtemos.com and log in.

    2. Navigate to My Account > Downloads or Your purchase codes.

    3. You will see a list of domains currently using your code.

    4. Click Deactivate next to the third-level subdomain. This “frees up” the slot.

    5. Go to your new live site and activate the code under WoodMart > Theme License.

    Best Regards.
