bassam.malbashaParticipantHello WoodMart Support Team,
I am using WoodMart Custom Tabs to add FAQ tabs based on product categories.
The issue appears when a WooCommerce product belongs to more than one category, and more than one of those categories has a Custom Tab assigned with the same title, for example “FAQ”.
In this case, WoodMart displays multiple FAQ tabs on the product page, such as:
Description | Additional Information | Reviews | FAQ | FAQ | FAQ
This happens because the product is assigned to multiple main categories, and each category has its own FAQ Custom Tab.
For example, a product may belong to categories such as:
Home Fragrance
Islamic Gifts
Hajj & Umrah Essentials
Islamic Home DecorationsEach of these categories may have a Custom Tab called “FAQ”, so the product page shows several duplicated FAQ tabs.
I understand why this happens technically, but from a customer experience and SEO perspective it is not ideal. It also may create duplicate FAQ content or duplicate FAQ schema issues.
I have already tested a temporary workaround using the woocommerce_product_tabs filter to remove duplicate FAQ tabs and keep only one FAQ tab. This works, but I would prefer to know the best solution recommended by the WoodMart development team.
Could you please advise if WoodMart has, or could support, one of the following solutions?
Merge multiple Custom Tabs with the same title into one tab.
Add a priority/order option for category-based Custom Tabs.
Allow Custom Tabs to respect the Primary Product Category from Rank Math/Yoast.
Add an option to show only one Custom Tab when multiple matching category tabs have the same title.
Any other recommended method from your developers to handle this case properly. My goal is to keep products assigned to multiple relevant categories, but avoid duplicated FAQ tabs on the product page.
Could you please let me know the best practice or if there is a theme-level solution for this?
Thank you.

Currently, this is the expected behavior. If a product belongs to multiple categories that have Custom Tabs assigned, all matching tabs will be displayed, even if they have the same title.
At the moment, WoodMart does not have a built-in option to merge duplicate tabs, prioritize category tabs, or use the Primary Category from Rank Math/Yoast.
Alternatively, if you’d like to add a separate tab for FAQs per product, navigate to:
Products > Edit Product > Product Settings > Tabs. From there, you can create a custom tab and insert your content manually for each product.
