I’ve been trying to find a setting for this in the documentation but couldn’t find one, so I would appreciate your advice.
I am using the “Show single variation” feature in WoodMart.
The feature works correctly, and I want to keep both the parent variable products and their variations visible in shop and category archives.
However, I have one issue with the ordering.
Currently, many variation products are displayed before their parent variable products. As a result, the parent products are pushed to the bottom of the archive and may even appear several pages later.
What I would like is for the archive to always display parent variable products first, while the single variations should appear after them.
I am not referring to the standard WooCommerce sorting options (date, popularity, price, etc.). I would like the parent products to always have a higher priority than their variations, regardless of the selected catalog sorting.
Is there any built-in option, hook, filter, or recommended way to achieve this?
If this is not currently supported by WoodMart, could you please point me to the part of the code, query, hook, or filter responsible for adding and ordering single variations in the archive? Even a small hint would be very helpful, as I am comfortable writing custom PHP code if I know where to hook into the process.
