    Dear Xtemos Support Team,

I need your support with the configuration of WoodMart for a website that is being used as a product catalog.

I have already created the Wishlist page and activated the Wishlist button. Now I need to understand how to configure the Wishlist so that, once the customer has added products to their list, they can submit the list to the pharmacy.

More specifically, I would like to know how to generate an email containing the products added to the Wishlist and send it directly to the pharmacy, so that the pharmacy can receive and manage the customer’s request.

Could you please explain how I can configure this functionality in WoodMart, or let me know if I need to use a specific feature, an additional plugin, or any particular configuration?

    Thank you for your support.

    Best regards,
    Manuel

    Hello,

Thank you for the detailed explanation.

WoodMart’s built-in Wishlist allows customers to save products and, for registered customers, create and manage multiple wishlists. However, the built-in Wishlist does not include an option to submit the wishlist as an email request directly to a pharmacy.

You can review the saved wishlist products from Dashboard > Products > Wishlists, where you can open individual customer wishlists and see the products they have added.
    https://woodmarttheme.com/docs/wishlist/

If you need the customer to submit their selected products to the pharmacy by email, this would require additional custom functionality or a third-party plugin, It requires customizations, and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.

    Best Regards

    Dear Xtemos Support Team,
    thank you for your explanation.
However, I would like to clarify one important point.
From the information I have received previously, I have always been told that it was possible to use WoodMart in a catalog configuration where the customer can select products and then submit a quote/request for availability based on those selected products.
For this reason, I am surprised by your answer that the Wishlist cannot be submitted by email and that this necessarily requires custom development or a third-party plugin.
What I need is not a traditional e-commerce checkout.
The website is being used as a product catalog, and the desired workflow is:
Customer selects products → products are added to the Wishlist → customer opens the Wishlist → customer submits a request/quote → the selected products are sent to the pharmacy by email.
In other words, I need to use the products already present in the Wishlist as the basis for a request for quotation / availability.
Could you please clarify whether WoodMart has a native feature, option, integration, form, quote functionality, or another recommended method that allows the products from the Wishlist to be submitted as a quote/request?
If there is no native functionality for this purpose, could you please explain why the Wishlist cannot be connected to a quote/request form, considering that WoodMart already knows which products are contained in the customer’s Wishlist?
I am asking because I have specifically chosen WoodMart for this project based on the understanding that this type of catalog/request workflow was possible.
I would therefore appreciate it if you could point me to the exact WoodMart feature or recommended configuration that should be used to achieve this functionality, if available.
Thank you for your clarification and support.
    Best regards,

    Hello,

Thank you for the clarification. I understand the workflow you are trying to achieve.

WoodMart can certainly be used for a catalog/request-based website, and the products can be displayed without using the standard e-commerce checkout. However, there is an important distinction between the Wishlist functionality and a Request a Quote functionality.

The WoodMart Wishlist is designed for saving products for later. Its native functionality does not include a “Submit Request/Quote” action that takes the products currently saved in the Wishlist and automatically sends them to a pharmacy by email.

    Therefore, the workflow:
Select products > Add to Wishlist > Open Wishlist > Submit Request/Quote > Email selected products to pharmacy
is not available as a native WoodMart Wishlist feature.

For this type of catalog workflow, the recommended approach would be to use a dedicated Request a Quote / Product Enquiry solution. Such a solution can provide the customer with a quote/request list and submit the selected products to the pharmacy by email.

If you specifically need the existing WoodMart Wishlist to be used as the source of the quote/request and its products to be passed directly into the request form, that would require integration/customization between the Wishlist and the quote/request functionality. This part is outside the standard WoodMart support scope.

So, to clarify our previous response: WoodMart supports the catalog and Wishlist functionality, but the Wishlist-to-quote/email workflow itself is not a built-in WoodMart Wishlist feature.

    Best Regards
