Such an issue is not solved by a child theme. You should have followed these suggestions https://xtemos.com/docs/basel/faq-guides-2/4-x-5-0-migration-guide/ and everything would be good. Anyway, if you want to install a child theme you can find it in the download folder of the theme in Themeforest. If you have any problems, provide your site admin access we shall install.
