Sorry for the misunderstanding. So if you want to customize the file woodmart/woocommerce/content-product_cat.php you just need to copy it to the same location in the child theme woodmart-child/woocommerce/content-product_cat.php and edit it. You will not lose your customization after the parent theme update.
