Accents and symbols in widget filter searches

My shop is in Spanish, so we use accents and letters such as ñ. I have noticed that when searching within a widget filter, what you type is sensitive to these accents, so if I type ‘ácido’ with an accent, I get results, but if I type ‘acido’ without an accent, I don’t.

The problem is that people often type with or without accents, depending on what is easier to type, and it does not seem right that the search should be sensitive to this. The results should be displayed regardless of whether the word is typed with or without an accent.

You can fix it by applying patch # 707871. To do this, go to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Patcher, find the corresponding patch and click on the “Apply” button. Let us know if it works for you.
