Infinite scroll issue

Hi,
When you’re on a page with a high number of products and scroll down it automatically loads the next page of products. If you click on one of those products to view it, then click back it won’t show the products from the page above.

This is an example page that the customer mentions above. Scrolling down and then clicking on a product > when clicking back going back to the same place.

This is the default functionality of the infinite scroll feature. Please check how it works with the default WordPress theme just to check whether the issue is with our theme or not.

If it works fine with the default WordPress theme then it means that there is no issue with the theme. Actually, this mechanism is controlled by the browser. And that is why it works differently in Safari and Chrome. But we can’t change this behavior in our theme.

and scroll down url changing like this https://www.veals.co.uk/product-category/rods-rod-building/shore-rods/page/2,page/3,page/4. and if I click any product to view then click back button the url won’t come like this https://www.veals.co.uk/product-category/rods-rod-building/shore-rods/, but like this https://www.veals.co.uk/product-category/rods-rod-building/shore-rods/page/2,page/3,page/4. My requirement is when I click the product back button after viewed a product url must be back to this https://www.veals.co.uk/product-category/rods-rod-building/shore-rods/, not page/2,page/3 etc

That’s how the browser works, that’s correct. But in this case, when a page /X/ loads like this, not with load more ajax, maybe a “Load previous” button is helpful like this one: https://prnt.sc/YA_pl44mdJkj

Sorry to say but right now there isn’t such a feature or option available in the Theme Settings for that which should show the Load Previous button. It requires Customization and this is beyond our limitations and support policy scope. Hope you can understand our limitations.

Thanks for sharing the suggestion/feature request with us, I am forwarding this to our development department for considering to add it in the theme, but I am not giving you the guarantee for that because please note that a theme cannot satisfy all requirements as it may occur theme heaviness. Sometimes it may require your own customization. So if the development department finds it fit with the theme environment then surely they will look through it.
